Feast of St. Eugene de Mazenod and Oblate Week

Date 20 May 2024 - 25 May 2024
Time All day

Sunday, May 21 is the annual Feast Day of our patron and founder of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate, St Eugene De Mazenod. Across our Oblate schools and Oblate ministries in our own Australian Province and provinces of the world, all who share in the charism and spirit of St Eugene will be giving thanks for his work in founding the Mission. There will also be a Feast Day Mass, as well as various moments throughout the week to reflect and pray for our own Oblates and Oblates in the missions of India, Sri Lanka and Kenya where we have close contacts.

Our Mass marks the occasion where we give thanks to God for the vocation of the Oblate priests and brothers and for their dedication and service to our community. It is also a time for us to reflect and pray on how we can dedicate ourselves to the Oblate charism. As we live out the Gospel values and inspired by the words of the Founder we continue to ‘learn who we are in the eyes of God’.
