2026 College Captains and Student Leadership Team Announced

Mazenod College is proud to announce the student leaders who will guide our community in 2026.

Leading the College next year will be College Captain Oliver Mangoni, supported by Vice Captains Oliver Wyllie, Zain Muscat and Daniel Ayass. Together, they will uphold the College’s values of faith, service and excellence, continuing the long tradition of student leadership that enriches the life of the College.

They will be joined by a dedicated team of Portfolio Captains who will lead across the College’s diverse academic, cultural and co-curricular programs:
Ciaran Ellwood (Music), Dean Tzortzoukas (Visual Arts), Christian Meddis (Peer Support), Imeth Mudannayaka (Public Speaking & Debating), Luke Collins* (Sport), Aydan Edward (Academic), Jonathan Mendis (Faith & Charism), Ethan Atkinson (Drama) and Jaden Lian (Ecology & Sustainability).

The appointment of these young men reflects their commitment to the College values and their willingness to serve their peers with integrity, humility and enthusiasm. Their selection is also a reflection of the collective effort of their families and staff who have inspired and empowered them throughout their journey at Mazenod.

Reflecting on the announcement, Dr Paul Shannon, Principal, said:

“Leadership at Mazenod is about service and example. These students have demonstrated the character, empathy and drive to lead with purpose, and I am confident they will inspire others to do the same. We look forward to seeing the positive impact they will make on our community in the year ahead.”
