Record-Breaking VCE Results for 2025

Thursday, 11 Dec 2025

The Class of 2025 has delivered the strongest VCE results Mazenod College has recorded in more than a decade. This year’s achievements reflect the dedication of our students, the guidance of our staff, and the steady partnership of families who supported their sons throughout their senior years.

The cohort achieved an impressive Median ATAR of 80.45, alongside a Median Study Score of 33 and 15.25% of 40+ Study Scores. 56 students achieved an ATAR of 90+, representing 29.5% of ATAR recipients, and 100% of our VCE Vocational Major students successfully completed their program. Furthermore, it is the eleventh year in a row that Mazenod Drama is being represented in Top Class Auditions. The College is also pleased to note exceptional outcomes in VET subjects, marking one of our strongest years across all pathways.

Speaking about his experience, College Dux Pramesh Silva shared, “I tried to plan ahead, give my best in every subject, and rely on my friends when things became challenging.” His reflection captures the spirit of this cohort and the way they worked together to achieve their goals.

These results highlight the commitment of our teaching staff, Careers and Counselling teams, and the many departments that walk alongside students as they prepare for life beyond school. We also acknowledge the ongoing support of parents and families whose encouragement plays a vital role in every student’s success.

The complete 2025 Communication of Results report is available below, providing a detailed overview of individual and cohort outcomes.

We congratulate all students on their achievements and thank the Mazenod community for their support throughout the year.

Among the many outstanding individual achievements, Mazenod College graduate Chris Boey was recently recognised in the Herald Sun for his exceptional VCE performance. Chris achieved an ATAR of 99.30, placing him in the top one per cent of students across Victoria.

A dedicated and well-rounded student, Chris balanced academic excellence with co-curricular commitments as a cellist and former Chess Captain. He now aspires to study biomedicine or medicine and plans to continue contributing to the Mazenod community beyond graduation.

Chris’s story reflects the breadth of talent, discipline and purpose shown by the Class of 2025, and the many different pathways through which success can be achieved.
