Mission Action Day - MAD

The Oblates of Mary Immacualte are a missionary community, and the College is part of that mission.

Each year the students organise M.A.D. (Mission Action Day) where awareness and funds are raised for the developing world.  Over the past 25 years, over $600,000 has been given to those in need through the generosity of the families and community.  This support has been offered to Indonesia, Kenya, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, China, Nepal and also to communities in Australia such as Rosies Oblate Youth Mission.  This generous spirit drives the College.

Red Cross

The Red Cross play a significant relief role in the world and each year an appeal is made throughout the local community for support.  Every Mazenod student in Year 11 takes part in this collection and the money raised supports those in genuine need.  The students begin the day with Mass and then are transported to areas of colletciton.  Making a contribution to this important work is at the heart of our service to the communty.

Environment Prefect

Begining in 2010, Mazenod will continue the call of God to care for creation.  Creation is seen as a precious gift from God and we have a responsibility to care for it.  Every class will have two designated prefects who will help raise awareness and support for environmental matters.  These prefects will also form part of the student leadership of the College.
