Mission Action Day - MAD
The Oblates of Mary Immaculate are a missionary community, and the College is part of that mission.
Each year the students organise M.A.D. (Mission Action Day) where awareness and funds are raised for the developing world. Over the past 25+ years, over $800,000 has been given to those in need through the generosity of the families and community. This support has been offered to Indonesia, Kenya, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, China, Nepal and also to communities in Australia such as Rosies Oblate Youth Mission. This generous spirit drives the College.
The Red Cross play a significant relief role in the world and each year an appeal is made throughout the local community for support. Every Mazenod student in Year 11 takes part in this collection and the money raised supports those in genuine need. The students begin the day with Mass and then are transported to areas of collection. Making a contribution to this important work is at the heart of our service to the community.
